Van Nuys Runway Night Closure

Van Nuys Runway Night Closure: Between April 1-6, LA’s Van Nuys Airport’s runway 16R/34L will be closed daily from 10pm – 6am as well as being closed to fixed winged aircraft.

The 16R/34L runway is being shortened and this is scheduled for approximately 73 days with the reopening planned on June 15.

During the period, the declared distances available will be:

Runway 34L

TORA/TODA/ASDA: 5762’
LDA: 5162’

Runway 16R

TORA/TODA/ASDA: 5563’
LDA: 5080’
