UK ETA requirements for 83 nationalities in 2025 – From January and April next year, 83 nationalities will require Electronic Travel Authorization to enter the United Kingdom.  

Travellers from the U.S., Canada, and 47 other countries will need Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) from January 8, 2025.  

Application will be open in November.  

The 49 countries are as follows:

  • Grenada 
  • Micronesia 
  • South Korea 
  • Argentina
  • Guatemala 
  • Nauru 
  • St Kitts and Nevis 
  • Australia 
  • Guyana 
  • New Zealand 
  • St Lucia 
  • The Bahamas 
  • Hong Kong 
  • Nicaragua 
  • St Vincent and the Grenadines 
  • Barbados 
  • Israel 
  • Palau 
  • Taiwan
  • Belize 
  • Japan 
  • Panama 
  • Tonga 
  • Botswana 
  • Kiribati 
  • Papua New Guinea 
  • Trinidad and Tobago 
  • Brazil 
  • Macao 
  • Paraguay 
  • Tuvalu 
  • Brunei 
  • Malaysia 
  • Peru 
  • United States 
  • Canada

Travelers from Europe will require ETAs from April 2, 2025, the ETA system will be open to Europeans from March 2025.  

The 34 European countries are as follows:

  • Bulgaria

  • Czechia 
  • Italy

UK ETA was launched in November 2023 for citizens of Qatar and then extended to citizens of the GCC in February 2024.  

The ETA costs £10 (approximately €12, $13) and allows multiple trips to the UK over a two-year validity period.
