Traffic rescheduling ahead of Dubai runway upgrades 

Operators should be aware that traffic rescheduling must take place to accommodate a runway closure at Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).

From February to July 2021, there will be a full runway closure for six continuous hours during daylight hours.

This closure will take place between 0700-1800LT with the specific timings to be confirmed in the coming months.

There will also be a daily runway downgrade outside of this six-hour closure, but this will be dependent on weather and operational conditions.

Normal runway operations will resume in the evenings.

Dubai Airport’s maintenance program will see upgrades to the runway slip and the pavement surface.
