Sichuan Airlines begins flights to Dubai

Sichuan Airlines have begun regular flights to the United Arab Emirates. In an addition to their current long-haul offerings, the Chinese carrier has added the international hub of Dubai to their available destinations. UAS International Trip Support – Sichuan Airline’s trip support partner – will handle the airline’s requirements from its Middle East headquarters in Dubai.

The inaugural flight took place on Friday, September 4 and touched down at Dubai International Airport at 18:00 local time. Leaving Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and travelling to Dubai International via Yinchuan Hedong International Airport, the journey was taken by Sichuan Airlines representatives and inspectors. The landing was attended by many dignitaries on the ground in Dubai. Going forward, travelers can avail of two weekly flights between the Emirate and the Sichuan Provence.

In May we expanded our offering with a direct flight from Chengdu to Moscow and we have been extremely pleased with the uptake of this service and have no doubt that this new route will bring even more success,” Mr. Meng added.
