Italy Increases Coronavirus Emergency Measures: Italy has extended its emergency coronavirus measures to the entire country.

The measures include school closures, bans on large public gatherings, and travel restrictions.

Passengers and tourists leaving Italy from outside the Lombardy region and in the provinces of Modena, Parma, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Rimini, Pesaro and Urbino, Alessandria, Asti, Novara, Verbano -Cusio-Ossola, Vercelli, Padua, Treviso and Venice, can exit the country from airports in these areas.

Those who are attempting to leave from any of the above-mentioned areas will have to complete a self-declaration form covering details about your reasons for returning to your home.

Passengers arriving to Italy cannot enter the Lombardy region or the provinces of Modena, Parma, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Rimini, Pesaro and Urbino, Alessandria, Asti, Novara, Verbano -Cusio-Ossola, Vercelli, Padua, Treviso and Venice.

Passengers will only be allowed to enter for the reasons indicated in the self-declaration form they will have to fill out.

Checkpoints will be set up on arrival and departure and those with no self-declaration will be rejected.

Cargo and crew flights will not be penalized.

A recent update from the Italian government says residents should carry an auto declaration certificate when moving about in residential areas because police may ask for justification of movements.
