Dubai Airshow 2019… All You Need To Know: Dubai Airshow 2019 takes place November 17-21 at Dubai World Central. So, what can delegate expect this year? What will be the hot topics? And, what restrictions and NOTAMs should operators flying to Dubai this November be aware of? Here’s all you need to know.

Dubai Airshow 2019

This year’s event hopes to be even better than last year’s which attracted 1,200 exhibitors from 63 countries and almost 80,000 delegates from all over the globe to the airshow site at Dubai World Central.

A seminal networking and sales event for the aerospace industry, Dubai Air Show facilitates the discussion and debate about a range of current topics.

One of the major talking points this year is expected to surround sustainability and initiatives supporting it.

CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) sees the sector taking proactive steps to reduce emissions by 2050 based on three pillars: emissions reporting, emissions mitigation, and emissions offsetting.

Through the ICAO-led program, the global industry has committed to reducing international flight emissions to 50% of the levels experienced in 2005.

Another major topic will be commercial and defense aviation in the region as its natural strategic location inspires efforts from operators and governments to grow the market.

Dubai’s impressive passenger numbers signal its importance as a global travel hub… it is the world’s busiest airport for international traffic.

Ongoing innovations in the development of aviation technology, investment in ATCM, and the latest cargo trends will also feature prominntly.

Two addition events, the Air CXO Summit and Cargo Connect will both taking place during the Dubai Air Show week.

Ground Transport

  • Dubai is well served with RTA Taxis, Uber, and Careem
  • Dubai Metro doesn’t extend to DWC, however, the green and red line routes can assist connecting to shuttle bus pick-up points
  • There are also shuttle buses to the DWC from key locations throughout the city. Click here to view the routes

Accommodation

We recommend booking hotel accommodation in the Dubai Marina / Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) / Barsha Heights areas to save on commute time to DWC.
