About the role:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IT Administrator to oversee and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and security during night hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in system administration, networking, and security, along with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The IT Administrator will play a key role in monitoring and optimizing IT systems, responding to technical issues, and implementing security measures to safeguard the UAS’ data and network.

Key Responsibilities:

System Maintenance & Management:

• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications.
• Monitor server performance, storage, and overall system health, ensuring data backups and integrity.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues to maintain optimal functionality.

Network Administration:

• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
• Monitor network traffic and performance, ensuring efficient data transmission and connectivity.
• Support the implementation and troubleshooting of VLANs, subnets, and firewall rules.

User & Technical Support:

• Provide real-time technical support to end-users during night hours.
• Document and track IT issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain and update knowledge base articles for troubleshooting.

Backup & Disaster Recovery:

• Assist in monitoring backup and disaster recovery protocols, ensuring data integrity.
• Respond to IT emergencies and system failures.

IT Security & Compliance:

• Enforce security policies, conduct regular audits, and implement security updates.
• Monitor cybersecurity threats and manage firewall configurations, VPN access, and endpoint security.

IT Infrastructure Optimization:

• Identify opportunities for automation, system upgrades, and process improvements.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure proper documentation of configurations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least of 3 years of experience in IT Administration, system support, or a similar role.
• Proven experience with network management, server maintenance, and system security.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and security best practices.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are preferred.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work independently during night shifts.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.

Work Schedule:

Night Shift

• This position requires working during the night shift to support our 24/7 operations.
• Flexibility to handle occasional on-call responsibilities during off-peak hours may be required.
