The Hungarian Grand Prix will take place in Mogyoród, Budapest at the Hungaroring on July 26. Since the first Hungarian Grand Prix of 1936, the race has become a mainstay of the racing calendar. The Hungaroring track is narrow and full of twists and turns often making it difficult for competitors to overtake each other. This results in some pretty nail-biting action. Here are some important travel tips for anyone making the trip to Budapest for the F1.

From EU
Free import to passengers arriving with goods purchased within the EU that are intended for personal use only:
Alcoholic beverages 10 liters of spirits over 22% and ethyl alcohol, 20 liters of alcoholic beverages less than 22%, 90 liters of wine (no more than 60 liters of sparkling wine), 110 liters of beer.
From outside EU
Free import to passengers arriving from non-EU Member States (incl. Canary Islands, Channel Islands and other similar territories):
Tobacco products (for passengers aged 17 and over) 200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos (max. 3g each) or 50 cigars or 250g of smoking tobacco or a proportional mix of these products.
Alcoholic beverages (for passengers aged 17 and over) 1 liter of spirits over 22% volume or 2 liters of spirits or aperitifs made of wine or similar beverages less than 22% volume/ sparkling wines/ liqueur wines or a proportional mix of these products. Also, 4 liters of still wine and 16 liters of beer.
Medications (for personal use)
Note: Products of animal origin that do not originate from an EU Member State, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Norway, San Marino or Switzerland, are not permitted to be imported into an EU Member State, with the exception of limited amounts from Andorra, Faroe Isl., Greenland, Iceland and small amounts of specific products from other countries.

Export regulations
Free export is allowed for the following:
1 liter of spirits, 1 liter of wine and 5 liters of beer
500 cigarettes or 100 cigars or 500 grams of tobacco
Coffee, tea, cacao and all spice herbs and their mixtures: 1 kilo each, except for seasoning paprika
It is prohibited to export stamps, objects of precious metals or such of museum value, any kind of food products, and medicines beyond personal use. A provision of foodstuff for personal use in the value of HUF 100 is permitted.
Baggage Clearance
Baggage is cleared at the first airport of entry in Hungary.
Airport Embarkation Tax
No airport tax is levied on passengers upon embarkation at the airport.
Currency
Currency Export and Import regulations
Local currency (Hungarian Forint-HUF) and foreign currencies: no restrictions if arriving from or traveling to another EU Member State.
If arriving directly from or traveling to a country outside the EU: amounts exceeding EUR 10,000 or over or the equivalent in another currency (incl. banker’s draft and cheques of any kind) must be declared.
Hungarian Immigration
Non-EU Passengers
A passport and a visa are required.
Passports and passport replacing documents issued more than ten years prior to date of travel will not be accepted.
With a Schengen visa, visitors are required to hold proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay and documents required for their next destination.
Non-EU Crew
A passport and a General Declaration Form are required.
Crew must wear uniforms and the duration of stay must be in accordance with the General Declaration.
Note:
Visitors are required to hold proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay as well as documents required for their next destination.
Visitors not holding return/onward tickets could be refused entry.
EU Passengers
A valid passport/country ID is required.
No visa is required.
EU Crew
A Passport and a General Declaration Form are required.
Crew must wear uniforms and the duration of stay must be in accordance with the General Declaration.

Non-Scheduled flights
Overflight and Landing permits are required.
Slot approval must be requested in advance.
During the F1 dates all private flights on Terminal 1 apron will be required to follow the instructions of the marshaller on duty.
Special parking positions (in accordance with ICAO Annex 14) will be introduced from July 23.
The most congested hours are expected between 14:30UTC and 18:00 UTC on July 26, due to traffic departing after the race.
UAS Fuel Service is available for both Truck browser and Hydrant.
Restriction on airport schedule
At night-time, scheduled and non-scheduled commercial landings and takeoffs may only be performed subject to restrictions.
The number of movements which may be planned for the night-time is as follows:
50 movements between 22:00 and 06:00 LT
Out of this, 6 movements between 00:00 and 05:00 LT
This restriction will be considered during slot management.
No significant NOTAM has been issued.
