Hong Kong has updated its COVID-19-related entry requirements for passengers and crew. Here’s what operators need to know.

Crew

  • Crew must be fully vaccinated and have received a third vaccination dose or equivalent
  • Crew members are required to perform a self-administered rapid antigen test 24 hours before their scheduled departure
  • A PCR test will also be necessary on arrival – crew not intending to enter the local community do not need to undergo this test
  • Those crew members who enter must self-isolate at an airport hotel until their next outbound flight

Passengers

  • Passengers  are required to submit their vaccination records before boarding their flight
  • A green health declaration QR code will be issued if the passenger meets the boarding requirements
  • Passengers are also required to fill out their online Health Declaration Forms before boarding, those who do not comply will violate the latest travel requirements and may be denied entry and operators may also run the risk of being suspended
  • Fully vaccinated passengers who comply with the above do not need to be quarantined but will be subject to self-monitoring for 5 days and must take PCR and RAT tests on specified days after arrival
  • Unvaccinated non-resident passengers will be denied entry
