Flight Operations to Singapore Grand Prix –Singapore will be the next host of the world’s premier motorsport event, Formula 1, on September 15, 16 and 17. Lighting up the stunning Marina Bay Street Circuit, the 2023 F1 Singapore Grand Prix will see visitors from all over the globe gravitate on the maritime island city state. Singapore’s Changi and Seletar airports have both implemented measures to enhance the efficiency of flight operations up to and during the F1 period.  

Here is what operators need to know about flight operations to Singapore Grand Prix 2023.  

Special operations procedures for Singapore Grand Prix 

Seletar Airport (WSSL)  

  • From September 10-20, Seletar Airport will be regulating flight operations to more efficiently oversee parking arrangements and alleviate congestion.   
  • Operators should submit confirmed handling requests as soon as possible to facilitate coordination with Seletar Airport Authorities.  
  • Submissions can be made until September 6 
  • Seletar is operational from 7am to 10pm and is a 20-minute drive from downtown  
  • During the F1 period, Seletar will be a slot-controlled airport 
  • Parking will be limited  

Changi Airport (WSSS) 

  • From September 10-20, only flights directly involved in the F1 event and holding approved slots will be permitted 
  • WSSS only accommodates swift turnarounds (drop-off/pick-up and immediate departure), and there will be a strict prohibition on aircraft layovers 
  • Submissions can be made until September 6 
  • Changi airport is operational 24/7 and 25 minutes from downtown

  • The maximum parking time is 48 hours
  • The airport is well serviced with rail, car rental, taxi, and limousine hire
