Flight Operations to G7 Summit Puglia – The G7 Summit will take place from June 13 – 15 in Puglia, Italy.  

Heads of State and their delegations from the G7 countries of the US, the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, and Italy will be jetting into the Southern province.  

Due to the sheer volume of elements concerned in G7 operations, operators are advised to plan their trips well in advance to secure their preferred airport slots, parking, and accommodation options.  

The three closest international airports to Puglia, Bari (LIBD), Brindisi (LIBR) and Taranto (LIBG) will be closed to non-event related business aviation flights between June 11-17. 

Here’s what operators need to know.

Brindisi Airport   

Officially, Aeroporto Del Salento, this airport serves the city of Brindisi in Italy is located about 60 km (approximately 35 miles) from Borgo Egnazia.

Operational information      

• No permits are required presently 
• Parking/Overnight is allowed from 2000Z TO 0500Z, the maximum ground time is three hours 
• The Flight Coordination Office will follow the criteria of time and date of arrival of the requests to confirm the stand allocations 
• Parking confirmation will be given by mail five days before the estimated time of flight arrival 
• The maximum parking time permitted for GA flights is 3 hours from the estimated time of arrival 
• There is one airside FBO open from 0800 AM to 0800 PM with extensions possible on request 

Bari International Airport   

Officially, Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport, this airport serving the city of Bari in Italy is located 60km (about 37 miles) from Borgo Egnazia.
