The Spanish FI Grand Prix will take place on May 10 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, about 12 miles (20km) North East of Barcelona city center. This is the 25th time Barcelona has hosted the Spanish Grand Prix. Here is some important information for those planning to attend.
Immigration
Non-EU passengers:
Some non-EU passport holders are allowed to enter and remain in the European Union for up to three months without a visa. It’s important to check whether your nationality is included in this category prior to your trip.
If not, you will need to organize a visa prior to arrival in the EU. For more information see http://ec.europa.eu/
EU passengers:
A Passport or EU country ID allows for a stay of up to 90 days without visa
An extension of stay is possible for visa exempt visitors
EU crew:
A Passport or EU country ID and crew airline ID are required
An extension of stay is possible for visa exempt visitors
Non-EU crew:
A Passport is required
All crew members are required to be listed on a General Declaration and hold an airline identity card
Note:
Passports or any passport replacing documents issued more than ten years prior to the date of travel will not be accepted
Tourists must hold proof of sufficient funds to cover their stay in the EU and those without a return or onward ticket could be refused entry
Customs
Import regulations:
Free import to passengers arriving in mainland Spain (including the Balearic Islands but excluding the Canary Islands) with goods purchased within the EU which are for personal use only.
For tobacco products: 800 cigarettes or 400 cigarillos (max. 3g each) or 200 cigars or 1kg smoking tobacco. For alcoholic beverages: 10 liters of spirits over 22% or 20 liters of alcoholic beverages less than 22% or 90 liters of wine (no more than 60 liters of sparkling wine) or 110 liters of beer.
Free import to passengers arriving in mainland Spain (including the Balearic Islands) from non-EU Member States (including the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, the Channel Islands, Gibraltar and other similar territories) or to passengers arriving in the Canary Islands. For tobacco products 200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos (max. 3g each) or 50 cigars or 250g of smoking tobacco or a proportional assortment.
For alcohol: 1 liter of spirits over 22%, or non-denatured ethyl alcohol with more than 80% volume or 2 liters of spirits or aperitifs made of wine or similar beverages less than 22% volume, or sparkling wines or liqueur wines or a proportional mix of these products. In addition to this: 4 liters of wine, 16 liters of beer and medicines in proportion to the traveler’s needs. Additional goods up to a total value of EUR 430 per adult and EUR 150 for under 15s is also allowed.
Products of animal origin not originating from an EU Member State, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Norway, San Marino or Switzerland are not permitted to be imported into an EU Member State, with the exception of limited amounts from Andorra, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland and small amounts of specific products from other countries.

Export regulations:
Free export of moderate quantities of tobacco products and alcoholic beverages. There are no restrictions from the Canary Islands.

The Spanish Grand Prix will be staged at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya which is 12 miles (20km) North East of Barcelona city center.
It is situated in a small town called Montmelo, approximately 50km from the airport.
Transportation
Bus
It takes approximately 45 minutes to get from the Barcelona Nord bus station in the city center to the race venue at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on the special bus service that will be in operation.
Car
It takes approximately 45 minutes to get from the city of Barcelona to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. It is advised to book a parking space in advance if renting a car.
Train
It takes approximately 30 minutes from the city of Barcelona to the Montmelo train station. The circuit is a 30-minute walk from the station’s west side.
